Installation
The way in which a sign is installed plays a significant role in the overall appearance and in the way it is perceived by the general public. A sign that has been fitted with care, maybe in a frame or with concealed fixings will give a clean, sharp and clinical finish. It will be evidently more appealing to the eye and offer a much greater longevity. On the other hand, a lack of knowledge when installing a sign can lead to a number of detrimental effects. First and foremost are the safety aspects. Signs are often large and heavy and as such, are subject to the forces of nature. Wind loading, drag and many other variables must always be taken into consideration prior to installation. A badly fitted sign can have devastating effects. From an aesthetic point of view, poor installation can be unsightly. Unlevel or out of balance positioning can look crude and slapdash and badly executed fixing methods can lead to distortion or cracking of the panels, weathering and a much reduced life expectancy.
